The Drive and Dedication of Alex Von Furstenberg

Alex Von Furstenberg comes from a long and proud line of European Royals, though you might never have guessed judging from the course, his life had taken. To most people who get to know him, he is not that far from any other businessman. To his closest family and friends, he is most frequently just Alex the hard worker, Alex the avid athlete or Alex the family man.

What is highly evident from Alex’s lifestyle is his unwavering thirst for action. Never, one to shy away from a challenge, the young-at-heart Malibu native is constantly pushing himself to grow and evolve. Whether he is riding a wave on the California surf or trading aggressively in Wall Street, Von Furstenberg practically radiates high energy from every fiber of his being.

A graduate of Brown University, Alex Von Furstenberg first went to work as a risk arbitrage trader for Allen & Company. Over the years, he had kept a finger on the pulse of the financial world, always on the lookout for prime business and growth opportunities. In the first half of 2010, this culminated in the meteoric rise of Arrow Capital Management, which Von Furstenberg co-managed with business partner Mal Serure. In the firm’s seven years of existence, Von Furstenberg and Serure had managed to keep the industry as a whole on its toes. The company has gone so far as to become a bastion of financial stability for investors even at the height of the most recent economic crisis.

Even today, Alex Von Furstenberg is still hard at work on his next big endeavor. He has recently set up Ranger Global Advisors, a family-run firm which specializes in value-based investments. His close watch on the markets has paid off for him big time. He is now recognized as one of the financial world’s most promising thinkers.

Aside from being a close watcher of the business world, Alex Von Furstenberg is also the advocate of a number of worthy charitable causes. Through his close associations with the Diller–Von Furstenberg Family Foundation, he has been able to support groups like Friends of the High Line, Habitat for Humanity, Conservation International and Operation Smile.
