Audi joins the Emmy Awards

The German luxury car Audi announced that will serve as the official car of the Academy of Arts & Science for Television. The alliance officially began with issue 63 of the Emmys, the most important U.S. television, which will be televised on Sept. 18 from Los Angeles.

The house with the four rings also participate in several events that have prepared the Academy of Arts & Science for Television for the commemoration of this year’s awards. Among them are the Prime time Creative Arts Emmy Awards on September 10, the red carpet at the Prime time Emmy telecast and Governor’s Ball on 14 September and the Performers’ Nominee Reception on 16 September.

“Our brand has been a very important player in the entertainment industry and has a great history as a friend of the arts, so this new partnership we like great,” said Scott Keogh, chief marketing officer for Audi of America. “There is no better way to recognize top talent from television to do with a car brand that produces vehicles that embody most progressive and best luxury and glamor of Hollywood.”

Emmy Awards recognize the best of the best American television, in categories such as script, directing, acting, costumes, cinematography, lighting and music.

Winners are chosen by 15,000 industry professionals who are part of the Academy of Arts & Science for Television and entitled to vote.

For the Emmy Awards, the German may make available to the Academy a complete fleet of cars, among which include the new Audi A6 and Audi A7, Audi A8 as well as the flagship of the four rings, which will transport VIPs and special guests.

Among the alliances that Audi has had with the entertainment industry include the British Academy of Film Arts and Television, the films ‘Iron Man’ and ‘I, Robot’, the Spanish film Goya Awards and The Weinstein Company, among others.
